Rock-Themed Wedding: Pink is the new Black

Rock-Themed Wedding At The Shack Revolution

Love Rocks! I’d like to share some wicked wedding ideas with you from a recent wedding photo shoot. This rock-themed wedding at The Shack Revolution is bold, colourful, and full of one-of-a-kind details. Vicki Clayson Photography photographed this session, which was handled by Foxglove & Black. How to Get This Wedding Look

Pink Is the New Black!

Don’t be afraid of the colour pink! When combined with black, the colour stands out, yet you still have an edgy wedding theme!

Maintain detail consistency!

For example, throughout this photo shoot, skulls are included throughout the decor, which includes flowers, stationery, cake toppers, and even hair pins!

Combine Materials and Textures

There’s nothing wrong with mixing it up, from the leather jacket and black sequin table runners to the tulle of the bridal gown!

Gorgeous Alternative Wedding Wear

How stunning does model Marilyn look?

Utilising a lot of tulle fabric, a leather waist-cinching belt, and chain beading, Zoe from Scarlett Tayla completely nailed the style of the bridal dress. The hand-painted leather jacket by Inanna Bespoke Shoes matched the leather belt, and the high-low hem nicely displayed the skull biker boots. From Bunny Loves Evie, Kelly In addition to the exquisitely sculpted black tiara crown and skull hair pins, Kelly designed the quirky tassel earrings. With striking eyes and a bright red lip, Sarah Russell crafted the edgy crimped updo and powerful makeup look.

Rock-themed Themed decor at the Shack Revolution

It’s the details that can bring a theme to life. Under Pressure, Eventz provided
the mesh ceremony backdrop, mesh stands, and the epic ‘Love Rocks’ sign.
We also love the record details, metal chains for the napkins, and, of course, the guitar!

The florals and wedding stationery were created by Foxglove & Black. Becky used small
silver skulls throughout her brightly coloured flowers to match the leather jacket,
boots and table styling. The stationery featured skulls as the main design feature.
accompanied by a graffiti-style typeface, which really complemented the theme.

The wedding cake was created by Toni of Blueberry Moon Cakes—what a showstopper!
Who can resist a black wedding cake, especially with skull and stud detailing and
those amazing chocolate skull cake toppers? The rock theme continued with the
biscuit favours created by The Biscuit Tin, with detailed funky designs.

A Personalised Wedding Ceremony

Let’s not forget about the important wedding ceremony! Natalie of Velvet Moon
Ceremonies conducted a personalised reading for this shoot, including a fun
symbolic drink blending ceremony! We love celebrant-led wedding ceremonies
because they give couples the freedom to have their ceremony exactly how they want it.

This rock-themed wedding shoot would not be the same as the brilliant photography
of Vicki Clayson, who captured every little detail in vibrant colour and also got
some epic smoke bomb shots! Lucy of Waystone Films brought her creative eye to the
film she created, which matched the theme of the day perfectly.

Lots of cakey love
